Report: Freedom Tower to Block View of Eclipse in Central & Southwest Virginia

LYNCHBURG – A report released earlier today concluded that Liberty University’s Freedom Tower, the tallest tower in all the land, will prevent spectators in the entire central and southwest Virginia area from viewing the August 21 solar eclipse.

“The tower’s height, breadth and width will obscure the view of the three million residents dispersed across the central and southern parts of the state,” the report said. “In place of the eclipse, would-be spectators can expect to have a clear view of the ongoing brick masonry labor efforts.”

For VA residents wishing to access a view of the eclipse, it’s advised to travel to neighboring states so as to escape the shadow of the tower.
