LIBERTY – Kanye West sported a “Make America Great Again” hat earlier this week, undoubtedly signifying his extreme conservative political convictions and his faith in Jesus Christ. This earned the pop-star-gone-priest a prompt invitation to Liberty University’s Convocation stage, ousting some no-name pastor.
“I always knew @KanyeWest was a man of the Faith. Hoping he will present to the students at @LibertyU,” tweeted Jerry Falwell Jr. shortly after retweeting an inspiring message from Kim Kardashian.
A portion of Kanye’s invitational email was released moments ago:
“If you’re a friend of Trump, you’re a friend of ours and a fellow champion of the Gospel,” the email read. “We easily look past dis-virtuous histories if you display that you’re an evangelical like us, fully committed to Mr. Trump. We warmly invite you to share your faith and insights with our student body.”
As Kanye is reportedly working on his next gospel album and accompanying devotional booklet, the invitation remains pending.
